Türkiye’den koordinasyonunu TÜBİTAK’ın yaptığı programla aşırı kilo ve obezitenin önlenmesi ve anlaşılması için derinlemesine incelemeler gerçekleştirilmesi öngörülüyor.

International Collaboration for New Treatments Against Obesity and Excess Weight

The Turkish Scientific Research Council (TÜBİTAK) has launched an international call for proposals to develop new treatments against obesity and excess weight. The ERA4Health partnership, which aims to advance health research in Europe, is supporting this effort.

Understanding the Causes of Obesity and Excess Weight

The program will focus on understanding the biological mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of obesity and excess weight. This includes investigating the interactions between lifestyle factors, psychological, chronological, genetic, and epigenetic factors.

• The call for proposals is open to international research teams and aims to support translational research projects that can lead to new treatments and solutions.
• Proposals must demonstrate a deep understanding of the causes of obesity and excess weight and propose innovative approaches to prevent or treat these conditions.

The deadline for submitting proposals is January 21, 2026. The second phase of the call will take place on June 11, 2026. A webinar will be held on April 14, 2026, to provide information on the proposal submission process.
